Miss Rodeo USA Clinic
This past weekend was the Miss Rodeo USA Clinic held in Oklahoma City. There were 15 talented young ladies that attended and a ton of observers. Friday was our hands on horsemanship portion of the clinic. Thank you to Julie Hettich and Lynn Brady for taking their time to bring the horses for all of the girls. They were perfect. One of my favorite parts of the clinic was getting to visit with all of the former MRUSA girls who attended. (Amy Duvall 95' - Georganne Abdo 02' - Katie Woods 04' & Joanna Blackwell 05') It is so fun to hear all of their stories from their year. On Saturday we did hair and make-up, modeling, impromptu, speeches and pretty much everything that queens do! Sunday I was honored to lead Oklahoma rodeo queens in the Centennial Parade in Downtown Oklahoma City. The rain held off just long enough to finish the parade - Thank God! To complete the weekend I had the opportunity to eat at the famous Cattleman's in the stockyard with The Robert's family and Miss Marilyn Hardacre. It was wonderful!
