This weekend was suppose to be rest but it didn't turn out that way. Thursday Tom and I roped all evening, Friday I went to a rodeo with Tom and his dad. Saturday started bright and early with Hayden's softball tournament, which was a 12 hour stretch, they won!! Saturday Amy, Tom, Hayden , Nathan, and myself went to the Huddlestons Jackpot it had a great turn out. I got sun burnt! Sunday we went to Shawnee to help Julie move into her new spa and salon. Oh yeah and on Saturday I turned a year older!

Monday is the always busy unpacking and washing but also touching base with all the sponsors who you have been out of contact with since you have been on the road! But I did get a break and went and watched Hayden play softball.

Today I am headed to meet Dr. J and Mrs. Debra for lunch and schedule my next cleaning!!

Miss Rodeo USA

Well tonight was a bitter sweet night for me! The rodeo was fantastic and thank you to the Lone Star Rodeo Company for all you have done! There were seven girls competing for the pageant and now there is only one. Tonight I gave up my title as Miss Limestone Sheriffs Rodeo to a young lady that I believe will go far. And to all the other girls, you guys were all great and thank you for letting me get to know each and everyone of you. I feel like I have lost some of my family with giving up my title. The pageant committee of this rodeo has been my second family the past year and to let someone else have them was very hard for me! Thank you for standing behind me in all my journey and adventures. Thank you for believing in me even when I showed doubt. I can never repay you for the memories you have given me! Thank you Sheriff Blakely for putting such passion into your rodeo we need more people to put your kind of effort and dedication to this sport! Thank You!!!!

The rodeo went really well last night. This whole town puts so much effort and time into making this such a great show! Mike Wentworth is still the funniest barrel man I have ever met. We still had some mud nut the weather was nice. I was back up again this morning to start the horsemanship competition. All the girls rodeo really well. We all had little time to get back and be ready to go for the speech and modeling this afternoon. But all the girls looked great and were very well spoken. And tonight we find out who is the 2008 Miss Limestone Sheriffs Rodeo!

It has been a whirlwind of a week and I can't believe its Friday. Thursday started out somewhat early. With Dan & Dingo in the morning, then WKAC that afternoon. We had a sponsor reception that evening before the slack and it was muddy but a good rodeo. This morning we had the special needs rodeo. What a rewarding experience! I feel like a million bucks knowing that I helped put a smile on these guy's faces and they did the same for me and then some! Tonight we kick off the 26th Annual Limestone Sheriffs Rodeo! I'm so excited!!!

This week it has felt so good to be at a hometown rodeo and see some familiar faces. This week has been so busy and its only Wednesday. I have been busy going to schools and talking to the kids but I have been very luck to have great company. Funny man Mike Wentworth, Allen Craig, and Rachel Boyd. It really helps to have friends around on such a tight schedule. I have also been to several t.v. stations with Sheriff Mike Blakley. Last night we had the street dance out on the square and we had such a great time. Jeff Whitlow and the Ole Barn Band were great. The event went well and I also got a sneak peek at the girls vying for my title as Miss Limestone Sheriffs Rodeo. I wish them all the best of luck!!!

Sorry for the long wait but my Internet didn't work. My week in Perryville was awesome! The people I met will always hold a special place in my heart! I have to thank everybody who treat me like family. I went to alot of great schools, met some great people who sponsor the rodeo in June. The Mayfest was so cool it was like no other. Their was good music, good food, and great people. Then there was the bed races... I was on the Chamber of Commerce team and we were AWESOME! I had such a great time. I have to thank Melissa, Dave, and also the Huber's. Thank You for making me feel right at home and such a great week making my job worth while!
