Miss Rodeo USA

Wow!!! I have been swamped! I arrived in Pauls Valley Sunday afternoon in time for Katie Lance's birthday and we played her new Wii, and she kicked my tail in bowling! Monday started off with breakfast with Jerry and Lilli Norton and I met all of Pauls Valley's queens and queen contestants. We have been running the roads ever since! Radio stations in Lindsay, Ada, Pauls Valley. Visiting with sponsors and helping get the arena ready for some rodeo action that kicks off Thursday night! I will give you all the updates on their new queen and everything that happens the rest of the week!

Miss Rodeo USA

This week has been eventful. I did laundry all day Monday just trying to get things back together from the rodeo last weekend. Then Tuesday Julie, Amy, and myself drove to Sequoah Club and stayed with Nancy Wilkinson at her cabin and we watched movies all night. Then Wednesday we got up and had a spa day for all the ladies. I did my massages, Amy did reflexology, and Julie did her Chinese cups. I hope all the ladies liked it, I know we had a great time! Now I am getting all my stuff together to get ready to head to Pauls Valley.

Miss Rodeo USA

This weekend was packed full of things for me to do! The great thing was that I was surrounded by great people and I was so busy that I never new what time it was! The rodeo was packed full of great excitement! Hampton Rodeo Company brought great stock! They had a packed crowd every night! Friday we held off the rain and the people came out! Saturday I was at the Old Settlers Day festival. I saw the turtle races and let me tell you those turtles were PUMPED! I also saw the frog races, spitting contest, cow chip contest and was thrown in jail! Don't worry I was bailed out by my fellow inmates Roy Duvall, Ote Berry, and Lacey Glover! Saturday parade was so hot but that didn't stop the crowd from coming out! The rodeo kicked off exactly at 8:00 and the show was rolling! I really enjoyed working with Gina, Kevin, Carissa, and Danny they were very nice to me. The Checotah round up club has taken me in as one of their own and I'm glad they are a great group! Saturday night they crowned their new queen Miss Lacey Glover, she will be competing at Miss Rodeo USA this upcoming year!

On the road again! Except this time I only have to drive nine miles! The rodeo this weekend is in Checotah. Last night I met the queen contestants and princesses for dinner. Today I met Frankie at Peoples Bank and I sat and did autographs for everyone. this afternoon we had a banquet honoring the rodeo heritage of Checotah and the champions that live there. It went really well and the house was packed! Tonight the rodeo starts at 8:00 and I'm sure it is going to be great!

Miss Rodeo USA

I just got back from Altenburg, Missouri and it was a great weekend! Melissa and Hannah picked me up from the airport and we headed back to the arena. When we arrived and everything was already in full swing. Friday night went really well and the stands were packed even though we were under a tornado watch! The stock from Johnson Rodeo Company was great and the cowboys didn't waste them! After the rodeo they had a good band playing and we all stood around a socialized and yes I danced, once! Saturday I woke up and hung out with my host family the Huber's, Grant and I stayed in our PJ's most of the time! We had cake for Joe's birthday! Melissa came to pick me up and we went and ate Chinese food! I may have over done it a little but it was so good! After that we headed back to the arena! The rodeo Saturday night was just as packed if not more! The I.P.R.A.'s finest was there and they showed the crowd why! They finished the weekend off with another great band! I had so much fun and I wish I could thank everyone on the rodeo committee personally but you guys all know how many people it takes to put on a great rodeo! Brad you worked so hard and it really paid off! Melissa and Heather thank you for taking care of me and letting me tag along! Dave thanks for being a great chaperon! And to the Huber's, Joe, Cindy, Makayla, and Grant. Thank you for taking me in and making me feel like part of the family I felt so at home! You guys will always hold a special place in my heart!

Miss Rodeo USA

This week has been fairly calm. The weekend completely different story!!! Joanna came up Thursday and after that we put some miles under our belts! We went to Tulsa and back to Ft. Smith and back! And small trips in between! Then Saturday we were going to rest but Jo had to break here phone and guess where the phone store was? Ft. Smith! We helped Tom and Amy put up the pool and I am still sore! But we handled it! I had so much fun with my Miss Rodeo USA sister and my best friend! I hated it when she had to leave on Sunday. I was tempted to tie her up and not let here go!!!
