Miss Rodeo USA
Today I have to meet with another one of our very gracious sponsors, The Eye Center in Okmulgee. They sponsor an eye exam and eye wear for Miss Rodeo USA. After that I am getting ready to leave for Evans, Georgia.

This weekend has been packed! I started Friday by going to Dr. J and Debra's house for the annual Azalea party! This year it had a Mexican theme. I had a great time talking, eating, meeting new people, eating, and oh did I mention eating! By the end of the night I had to be rolled to the car. Grace and Debra are FANTASTIC cooks!!! Saturday was kicked off with the parade, then signing autographs at the Griffins food booth. John Griffin was gracious enough to show me around and introduce me to some wonderful people! I had a wonderful time!! I also handed out the awards for the chili cook off!
Today was busy...needless to say. I was privileged enough to be invited to speak at the Checotah schools. My first stop I met Frankie and Ruby, members of the Checotah Round up club, they took me from place to place. I spoke to the elementary first and judged a coloring competition. I wish I had prizes for all of them they were so creative. I then went to Armstrong bank and signed autographs and just visited. Next stop was lunch at June's restaurant. My final stop for the day was Checotah middle school. I had a great time talking about my platform "Branching Out" and taking questions from all the students. I want to thank the schools for allowing me to visit and speak to their very intelligent students. Can't wait to see them all again in June for the rodeo!!!
Hi everybody! I am so sorry for such a long break in between blogs. I have been very busy after market trying to get things all taken care of before I hit the road going to rodeos. I know that people only think that a Miss Rodeo USA's job is on the weekend at rodeos but I am here to clean that up. My job is everyday, now it may not be where I am in full attire but I am constantly doing something, thank you packets, contacting sponsors, getting ready for road trips that last up to two to three weeks. It's not a year of just fun and excitement, you work for it!!
I made it back from Dallas and the car was alot more loaded down than when we arrived! I had a great time seeing everything but also meeting our generous sponsors that have been with the Miss Rodeo USA organization for a number of years like Corral Boots and Ariat. Also to meet new people who are coming on board such as C-R Ranch Wear, and the prospect that we will get more people involved in such a great organization. I am exhausted but today is another day and things need to be done. Karen Rosenthal called from Ariat and needs me!!!!
Yesterday was awesome! We arrived early and our first stop was Corral Boots. I was a kid in the candy store. I didn't see anything that I would love to have, all of their boots were amazing! Thank you Othel and George you guys are wonderful and I am so proud to be wearing your boots. We have also picked up a new sponsor that I am very excited about. CR ranch wear. This clothing line is made in the USA and is outside the box. Rhea is going to sponsor our pajama party during the pageant. I can't tell you how cool her pajama line is but she also makes great clothes and has set me up with so many great things. You can find her on the web under chandler pajamas.com. I am grateful that she came on board so go check it out! I'm going back to market today so I will tell you all about it later!
I'm in Dallas ready to hit market bright and early in the morning! I'm so excited about getting to see some of my sponsors in person instead of just speaking on the phone. Like Ariat, Corral Boots, and Carhartt!! Dee and Rick I wish I could deliver all my sponsor packets in person! And congratulations on your big win for Silver Dollar Farms. I am so proud!
I'm getting ready to go to Dallas Market. I'm so excited to go and walk around and see the newest styles. I have to thank Corral boots, Ariat, Carhartt, and Livin the Dream tack. These sponsors go above and beyond on the products they donate. I receive exotic boots from Corral and we all know the price of these boots. I encourage you all to go these websites and look at all the amazing products.
Today I am going to Oklahoma City to drop off thank you packets to all of our generous sponsors that make the Miss Rodeo USA pageant a great one. If your ever in the city and stop by please tell them thank you for all they do. We have great restaurants and stores that make our week much more exciting.
I can not say enough about my sponsors. They have been so helpful and understanding. I especially want to thank Ariat and Karen Rosenthal. They have kept in all the latest fashion. I encourage you all to visit their website and see the new spring line. You will love it!!!
