Day 4- Miss Rodeo USA Pageant: Signature Sponsor, Ariat International
Day 4 started a little early today... The girls, Bob, Rick, Kathy and chaperone Karen Rosenthal were off to KXY and KTST for an early radio interview. Because we were at the radio station during the time that the morning interviews were to take place, the girls thought it was going to be an easy morning... guess again, the judges greeted them with their written test.
After testing, it was off to the IFR38- Miss Rodeo USA welcoming lunch and Carhartt Modeling. This is the second year Carhartt has been a sponsor of The Miss Rodeo USA Pageant, they donate an outfit to each girl and shirts to the judges and staff. Folks, the longsleeve work shirts that the men get are very comfortable, check out their catalog.
After lunch and modeling, the girls thought it was time to rest, again, guess again... it was time for the morning interviews! then, it was time to rest.
Wednesday is Speech and Auction night... First it was dinner at The Biltmore. After we ate it was time for speeches. Miss Rodeo USA 2007 Candice Carper introduced each contestant. This was the toughest competition yet. All ten girls gave a flawless speech, I would guess a lot of 10's were handed out tonight. That's my opinion as a past judge... great going ladies!
This years aution had a record amount of items to sell. As always, Terrell Coffey was our auctioneer. I don't know how he did it, but he sold a beer/soda cooler for $100.00.
Thank you everyone who attended tonight. Until tomorrow, goodnight.
P.S. Thursday is Tough Enough To Wear Pink Night at IFR38... don't forget to wear PINK!
