Miss Rhinestone Rodeo Rachel Kelderman #5

Yeah it's Friday!

My day started off with an interview at 1am this morning, I was so tired, but it was fun! After a great round of horsemanship we headed to The Children's Center. Located in Bethany, Oklahoma this facility was so excited to have us come by and we where just as excited. Meeting about a dozen children with mental and physical disabilities was so humbling. There was this one little boy who was the same age as my little nephew, I just wanted to cry when I saw him with the breathing tube in this throat. He was so adorable and it made me so thankful that I have a healthy happy nephew at home. I know that we all left with a great "Reality" check and left with smiles on our face and tears in our eyes.

Hope to see you all at the rodeo tonight!

Love Rachel

Synda Lockard Miss NFPB

Hey,

It's almost over for us here at the Miss Rodeo USA pageant and I have to say I'm a little sad. I've had such a wonderful time and I know the other girls have too. My most favorite thing that we got to do was going to The Children's Center, here in Oklahoma City. The Children's Center provides hope for restoring a child's physical, cognitive, emotional, and spiritual function. All the contestants had the chance to meet with some very special kids that made our day just a little brighter. Casey, who lives at The Children's Center decided that he wanted to be a cowboy, well now that he saw all the beautiful contestants :). Miss Rodeo USA, Candice Carper, even read a book to all the kids! I will admit that I got just a little teary eyed when leaving such a wonderful place. It's a great feeling to know that there are people out there willing to provide unbelievable love and care to those who need it the most. I would like to say a special thank you to those who gave all of us the chance to meet those special kids. I would also like to say a very special hello to Blake! Thank You and God Bless, Synda

Morgan Davis Miss Rocky Top Therapy Center

Hey ya'll! Today we visited The Children's Center.  This is a wonderful non-profit children's rehabilitation center.  We were able to visit with the children and it is amazing to see the children who have so many obstacles to over come be so happy.  Casey is one of the kids that we were able to meet, and by the end of the trip every Queen had a 10 year old boyfriend.  He sure is a lady's man.  We enjoyed the trip so much, but it also humbled us a lot.  To be able to see those children makes us realize just how lucky we are.  Thank you!  And we will see you all at the Rodeo!

After horsemanship today I had the honor of being able to go to the Children's hospital in Oklahoma City. When we arrived Scott gave us some information on the hospital that was state of the art facility for these kids. He took us in to meet some kids and right off the back we met a handsome young man named Casey. He had a great smile and hit it off with the ladies right away, he knew he had us all wrapped around his little finger! After visiting with the kids in the new building we moved on to another room. When we walked in and it was like seeing an old friend, they were all so happy to see us. I met a sweet like little girl named Inika, she was all dressed in pink and was so attentive! Candice read them a story and they LOVED it!!! When we left I felt overwhelmed by the courage, strength, and wonderful spirit they all had. No matter their situation they NEVER let their spirit down. I hope each and everyone of you get to experience something like visiting a wonderful facility like this. And if you don't please try to donate your time or money to a wonderful cause. You will feel like no other, the same way I felt today after I left!

I am so excited about Though Enough To Wear Pink night tonight.  I have had the opportunity to work three different events to help raise money and awareness for breast cancer.  Tough Enough To Wear Pink is a great way to get the western world involved in breast cancer awareness.  I know that this evening will be awesome! Not only is it Tough Enough To Wear Pink night, but it is also the first performance of the International Finals Rodeo.  I am way beyond the point of excitement!  If you want to check out some video of this week's activities and also our Ariat commercial just go to YouTube.com.  Are you tough enough to wear pink?

Summer Davis Miss Pawnee Bill Memorial Rodeo Queen #2

Come join us for the 38th annual International Finals Rodeo on Thursday night for the "Tough enough to wear pink" evening.  The rodeo will begin at 7:30, but if you would like to get your seats before the crowd rushes in, I'd suggest that you get there earlier.  You can show your support by wearing a pink shirt that  represents the fight for breast cancer research, which is desperately needed, with the growing number of victims today.  Please come and support all of the women who have fought breast cancer themselves.

And don't forget to check out our Ariat video clips on U-Tube!!!

PINK? The color most people associate with warm and fuzzy. Although it can still be warm and fuzzy, pink has a whole new meaning. Tough Enough to Wear Pink is a foundation to benefit breast cancer awareness. Cowboys and cowgirls will gather tonight at State Fair arena in all their pink attire to show support for women fighting or have fought breast cancer. This organization has done so much for awareness of this undiscriminating disease. So please join all the Miss Rodeo USA contestants, cowboys, and cowgirls and show that we are all tough enough to wear PINK!!!

To see all the events and fun we are having this week log onto UTUBE.com under events and see all the Miss Rodeo USA contestants!
